A short film created by talent scouts and young filmmakers raising awareness of domestic abuse and coercive control has had its first screening.
GTown Talents (GTT) showcased "Unstuck" at The Woodville in Gravesend this week.
The piece was filmed in Meopham and inspired by a BBC EastEnders' domestic violence story.
GTT was set up in 2019 to help young people explore their creativity, and for this project, they worked with 10 young people aged 16-25 from all over Kent.

A non-league football team which strives to promote equality in sport were runners-up in the annual Diversity Football Festival.
Gravesend’s Punjab United FC took 16 of its players to compete in the tournament which took place at the University of Leicester on the Stoughton Drive playing fields.
This was the sporting event's second year with the first held at The Steve Cook Stadium in Dunkirk Close, Gravesend, which is Punjab United FC's home ground.

Hundreds of women and young girls came together for a yearly festival to honor friendship and sisterhood.
Registered charity Kent Saheli Group (KSG) hosted the Teeyan festival at New Tavern Fort in Gravesend.

Teeyan is a monsoon summer festival originating from the Punjab region of India.
Women and girls buy traditional clothes and shoes and get dressed up for an occasion filled with folk music and dance.

Wheelchair rugby uniting players through sport
Wheelchair rugby sounded like a sport I could easily tackle. It's on wheels, isn't it, so how hard could it be?
But having never played rugby before, never mind wheelchair rugby, I did not enter the gymnasium at Fairfield Leisure Centre in Dartford with much confidence.
Luckily, I was made to feel at ease when greeted by the founders of The Argonauts team which trains there, ex-England international wheelchair rugby player Fred Nye and and Ireland's wheelchair rugby captain Peter Johnston.

A young artist and hip-hop talent collective have teamed up to produce a short drama of spoken word poetry, which will air on a streaming platform later this year.
Michael Eferakorho, 23, from Dartford, calls himself Spoken by Michael.
He came up with the name because he believes it reflects him as a poet, and he figured his surname would be too hard for people to pronounce.
Spoken word is a type of poetry containing elements of storytelling, rap, hip-hop, jazz, folk music and blues.
